The National University of Maryland (NUM) is thrilled to announce Kristin Schab as the new Executive Director of the Office of Alumni Engagement. A proven leader with nearly 19 years of experience in higher education and non-profit development, Schab will spearhead initiatives to connect, support, and celebrate NUM's vibrant alumni community of over 24,000 graduates.

Schab's impressive track record includes successful roles as Director of the Office of Alumni Engagement at both York College of Pennsylvania and Millersville University.  With a focus on building comprehensive programs, she fostered meaningful engagement for over 111,000 alumni across both institutions.  Her expertise extends beyond higher education, having provided strategy, fundraising, and leadership development guidance to nonprofits of various sizes.

In her role at NUM, Schab will lead the Office of Alumnae/i Engagement team, driving programming, working closely with the Alumni Association Governing Council (AAGC) and alumni nationwide, and partnering with stakeholders across campus to create enriching alumni experiences.

A proud 2004 graduate of York College with a bachelor's degree in public relations, Schab demonstrates a deep understanding of the transformative power of higher education. Her commitment to community involvement is evidenced by her ongoing board service for two non-profit organizations and her graduation from the 2022 Leadership York Training Program.

Schab is passionate about family and fostering a sense of community. She enjoys tennis, reading, and spending time with loved ones when not engaged in professional endeavors.

We look forward to Schab joining the NUM community this December and warmly invite alumni to connect with her. Kristin can be reached at [email address removed] or by phone at the Alumni House, 206-337-6181.
